The PLATOON flag is up!

after a night spent digging a hole in the middle of our courtyard, we finally managed to erect the mast for the PLATOON flag we gave Christoph for his birthday.
with the risk of being taken too serious with our military image we still thought it was time to let our flag wave in the wind. and you know what? it looks great!
the colors of the flag are not just random....we actually registered it as the official flag for our organization, in fact you can see it on each item of our PLATOON.combat-wear collection. if you´ve never seen it...come around to have a closer look!

SEOUL FASHION WEEK S/S 2009

finally the summer is over and the whole city of seoul enjoys clear skies and refreshing temperatures. from now on it will get colder, but the next spring season comes for sure. the crew over at daily projects, a fashion shop and concept space, is already preparing for the next season. from october 21-25 they will present a fashion event that will sport a showroom featuring the spring/summer collection 2009 of 3 european and 3 korean artists, a film screening with diane pernet and a closing party hosted by fashion darling henrik vibskov. also our friends from add will exhibit there styles there - so we will definitely check it out~

finally we presented the zero issue of ABOUT on last saturday.
over 300 people came and we all celebrated together till dawn....you all know how it went... hehehe^^*it was awesome!!!

KIAF2008-korea international art fair.

the korea international art fair (kiaf) 2008 opened in seoul at the coex convention center in seoul.
kiaf is a project organized by the gallery association of korea and took place in 2002 for the first time. the kiaf 2007 was a great success with about 64,000 art lovers visiting. in 2008, over 5,000 pieces are shown. the place is such a huge space, i couldn't look through all the booths but it was a very nice impression to me. i liked especially the fact that all different kinds of art works were shown there. most gallery didn't allow taking picture... but i did some, you can tell how hard it was to take all these pics.^^* i got almost kicked out of there hehe. but... i have highly advanced technical skills muhahahahaha...






i went to the exhibition with udo's friend hae-lin and we both thought that this is an amazing piece of art (painted on acrylic)








here are some art works by korean artists - this time many korean artist were involved.































































i met many european artists.

MANIFESTA 7

what are students doing in long holidays?????? ;-)
i had a great trip to MANIFESTA 7.
here a short recommendation ...

MANIFESTA is an european festival/platform for contemporary art. it is held in different locations, every two years.
this year MANIFESTA 7 takes place in italy, in the region of trentino-alto adige/south tyrol. manifesta 7 is located in bozen, franzenfeste, rovereto and trento.












MANIFESTA 7 occupied with the topic "art in industrial buildings". the exhibitions and events in those four cities are held in extraordinary places ... an old tobacco factory, an former aluminium factory, ...

the bigger part of those (about 200) artists are rather nameless - which definitely changes nothing in quality of works!! you'll see things like drawings, different installations, videoclips, music-experiments, smell-experiments, light-art, also works with nonsense material or waste, sound-installations, documents of writers, silent-movies... and many many more!!! besides, a huge supporting programm and some workshops.
