2ND FLOOR @ KUNSTHALLE SEOUL

last weekend the second floor of our container building was fixed on the site! a lot of fun to see so many green PLATOON.containers arrive. and also the look&feel of the building now gets more and more visible. but wait one more week: then the 3rd floor will cover the whole building.












this is the actual view from the street side. the small 'exhibition cubes' in the 1st floor are still covered by the contruction fence. above them you see the 'artist in residence' studios.

native curiosity paired with the continuous drive to meet new exciting challenges were two of the driving forces that brought me to PLATOON.

the first challenges that the relocation to a new city implicate are taken.
but new challenges arise every day...

after three years of studies in austria, a stopover in the big apple.. and a collaboration on a documentary film project i developed a passion for the moving image.

back in europe, full of creative energy and curious of what comes next i feel ready for the missions in the headquater and look forward to the next months in the PLATOON-team.

BLU and the credit crunch

urban artist BLU visited berlin again in november.
last week i was walking in schlesischestr in Kreuzberg and i noticed a new massive masterwork by BLU, although it would have been almost impossible not to notice it...

the project was supported by ARTITUDE.ev, an art association focused on subculture also running URBAN GRASSROOTS, an international creative platform with ateliers and showrooms, which has become a hub for many interesting urban artists.
their headquarters are based in the old senatreservenspeicher building in kreuzberg.

as long as the weather is good our site is getting dressed step by step... like a grey coat... hhh^^*

Our co-worker, friend and favourite-platoon-artist Anna is exhibiting her work together with performance artist Herma Auguste Wittstock at Happenstudio:

large- sized ink drawings meet performance...

the two artists intuitively combined their works and therefor assigned different athmospheres to the rooms of the exhibition.
the documentation of the creative process is opened up by a collective performance.
