Gosh. Things have changed after I left about 2 months ago. PLATOON staff doubled, containers packed, constant meetings, workers rushing, sparks flying, and what's all that noise?

i guess we all know that feeling...

I know, its not the newest film, he was edited 2008. but he was really great. never before I saw such heavy real story in an animated film. these form was so grandiose to bring you in, to pain and horror of war and soldiers doings. I think, it is more intensive -closely to the emotional story- than a movie with human actors.











interesting too, that this is an israeli reflection. perhaps the first that we know in this vein. it´s very up do date, because the whole world discussed the hard line of israel and here we can find out, whats happened with young soldiers after war in israel and shurely worldwide.







































this film of ari forman is a must.

Objects

after a few weeks of rather quite times at the construction site the atmosphere is becoming dynamic. these days the scenery at KUNSTHALLE changes within hours. you may see objects in the morning, the afternoon it's gone or everything is looking totally different. it reminds me that nothing will be the same and each moment is unique. the world is spinning and in between things are happening somewhere somehow here at the microcosm PLATOON.seoul.

GUERILLA LASER AT THE CDU HEADQUARTERS

last tuesday a PLATOON.squad, together with the lichtpiraten, vj bombed the CDU HQ in behalf of ver.di.

it was very interesting to see how effective it can be to deploy laser and visuals for political activism.

Annie Leibovitz

Not only did she take pictures of pregnant Demi Moore, Brad Pitt and many other A-list celebrities, she even had the guts to requested the Queen to remove her tiara while she was taking a portrait of her. If Queen Elizabeth agreed to do so and of course many other insights into Leibovitz’s work, personal experiences, and views can be seen in the exhibition „A Photografer’s Life“ from February 21st to May 24th at C/O Berlin in the Postfuhramt in Oranienburger Straße in Berlin. On Saturday, the 21st Leibovitz will hold a lecture, the pre-selling starts from February 7th at C/O Berlin.

the universe of paul klee

some weeks ago I went through a journey of paul klees universe in the berlin national gallery.

the walls of the museum appear rather empty despite the multiplicity of works ... the gate to Klees universe lies in the detail of his works. – but the one who´s looking for detailed illustration might never enter his world.

in klees universe everything lies rather below the surface and the main aspects of his works appear only when you look behind the mimics of the characters portrayed in his paintings.

all in all a highly recommendable exhibition - if you have a chance go and check it out.
