a day in Megumi fukuda´s "eternal garden"

life in a container can be dull sometimes...but then again you have days here in Platoon when everything around you, suddenly, starts to bloom.











like the other day for instance... when i´ve been unexpectedly introduced to Megumi Fukuda (installation artist & photographer), and to her beautiful never fading artificial red tulips.














a delightful experience i have to say, one that made our courtyard look like never before...the contrast between the military imagery and the flowers was definitely striking.














Megumi explained how her project „eternal garden“ started in her grandparents place back in japan. in a once well tended garden which now lays abandoned...
where memories of her childhood blended with those of her parents.













there she had the vision of a garden with flowers forgetful of the seasons, which go on blooming regardless winter and beyond spring: “ lashed by rain and covered in snow“ they will always stay the same, like a still in time „unable to change in the midst of changig“...a rather poetic way to defy time...“unable to change, so... they just don´t“












Megumi kept moving around totally absorbed in her thoughts whilst gracefully placing her flowers near Chin Chin´s „Mädchen“...















for few hours Platoon was transformed in an idyllic landscape, and for that time it seemed the flowers would have stayed forever...















until a gentle wind came blowing...the sun went down...last pictures zack zack...
and was already time to pack














*we would like to thank again Megumi for the wonderful experience and maybe who knows, we might do it again next time when Platoon is covered in snow.....

to this I can only say: caught red handed

fully absorbed in their saucy Fake Rabbit (minced meat looking as a roast) and pork cutlet with potatoes, Tom and Christoph had almost past unnoticed by the “BZ mobilephone reporter”... DF with fork in the mouth in front of the trendy joint a stones throw from their headquarters

apparently the meal seemed to have been much appreciated :-)


da kann ick nur sagen: ERWISCHT!!!

voellig versunken in FH mit viel soße und schweinefiletspitzen mit kartoffeln wurden Tom und Christoph fast unbemerkt vom "bz handyreporter" DF mit gabel im mund vor dem szeneimbiss aus naechster naehe abgeschossen.

scheint geschmeckt zu haben... :-)

as shown in this video, the police had to reach for their weapons in order to keep the nutty neonazi in Mecklenburg-vorpommern at bay. after the recent move of the NPD in the parliament from schwerin, it will probably get even worst. whoever watches this video will surely agree that the ANTIFA activists on location have all earned respect and solidarity. keep going! it's nice that there are still some upstanding folks over there.

wie in diesem video zu sehen ist, muss selbst die polizei zur waffe greifen um die bekloppten neonazis in mecklenburg-vorpommern in schach zu halten. nachdem nun die NPD in den landtag von schwerin eingezogen ist wird es wahrscheinlich nur noch schlimmer. wer sich das video ansieht wird mir sicher zustimmen, dass die ANTIFA-aktiven vor ort allen respekt und solidarität verdient haben. weitermachen! gut, dass es noch ein paar aufrechte dort gibt.

guter film auf monkeymen.tv.. über die affenmänner ist zwar nichts zu erfahren auf ihrer site.. das einzige was ich weiss ist, dass unser freund marcel schobel die finger im spiel hat..

after the answers can be finally seen and read on the internet –although one has to fumble through them, i actually want to write another little supplement to the matter.
i don´t share henryk.m.broder´s opinion. his uncouthed and (so) economic refusal seems to me like amour proper and rises the suspicion in me, that perhaps he would have liked to be in charge.
what made it difficult for the audience was the fact of being at the mercy of many people giving you their shoulders.
like in a closed society. however the questions, that were read aloud, brought one to reflect, and thereby an interest to know what these people would say about it around the big table was surely awaken.
such a philosophic.artistic.literate.political event can´t surely bring an instant change. it is made for the sole purpose to move something in our brains. and well, that is just something that takes longer.
and since it´s on the net, it reaches even tousends more heads then if it appeared only in book-form.

nachdem die antworten nun endlich im netz zu sehen und lesen sind -wenngleich man sich etwas durchfummeln muss, will ich noch einen kleinen nachtrag schreiben. ich teile die meinung von henryk.m.broder
nicht. seine sehr flapsige und so ökonomische ablehnung sieht mir etwas nach eitelkeit aus und weckt den verdacht in mir, dass er vielleicht gerne geladen gewesen wäre...

mir hat diese veranstaltung gefallen. ich fand sie atmosphärisch sehr dicht, konzentriert, ernsthaft und eben so gar kein fröhliches frage- und antwortspiel.

was es als zuschauer schwierig machte, waren die vielen rücken denen du ausgeliefert warst. wie eine geschlossene gesellschaft. die fragen jedoch, die laut vorgelesen wurden, brachten dann einen selbst zum nachdenken. und dadurch wurde mit sicherheit das interesse geweckt zu wissen, was diese menschen am riesentisch dazu sagen würden. solch eine hilosophisch-künstlerisch-literarisch und politische veranstaltung kann natürlich keine sofortige veränderung hervorbringen. sie ist dazu gemacht in unseren köpfen was zu bewegen. und das dauert halt länger. und dadurch dass sie im netz steht, erreicht sie eben tausendmal mehr köpfe als wenn es in buchform erscheint.
