being at the opening of the PICTOPLASMA in the 'Haus der Kulturen der Welt' i was totally surprised that there is another art world parallel to the art world.and the best thing: it felt like these artist are more about coming together then about jealousy and competition.
coming from the street or from design the not hooked on and taking themselves super important. if you think now "yeah but there are just toy boys and don’t now a shit about bacon & co" sorry dude. but the works of sam gibbons, olaf breuning or gory baseman have already ended up in art history, for real.
besides that - the character walk tops the classic galleries as well cause here you can see these artist working and talk to them without knowing the birth date of jackson pollock (he died in a car accident 1956 and is famous for not painting characters). art is dead long life the character.

After the keynote for the iPhone OS 3.0 I started looking for free apps for the iPhone, and I think that I have found some good ones, I will give you today the free version of Zinio, Zinio is a web database of more than 200 magazines, and more that 5,000 volumes on the net. unfortunately if you want to browse this magazines on your PC you will have to pay some money to do that. But if you try the special web app of Zinio for the iPhone, you can browse 21 titles of different magazines from Playboy, to Macworld, going through Esquire, ELLE, Popular Mechanics, and some other good ones, and all for Free. this is also possible to be seen on the iPod touch. I recommend you to browse the magazines on the 3G network or on WiFi.
I think that the iPhone will become a selling platform when it reaches the 3.0, and we will have to find this little apps that can bring the fun for free...

i love these videos by keith loutit. he´s filming landscapes and events like mardi gras. the special thing about his videos is that he´s combining a variety of techniques like tilt-shift and time-lapse photography to make landscapes and people look like in a model railroad world. the videos show our world from a different perspective (an angle which is diverse to our usual view, in which humans constitute the center of everything). the perspective of the videos makes people look like ants and shows how small we are compared to the nature and the environment sourrounding us. the close- up view plus the time lapse make some actions look totally ridiculous.
maybe we should see our world more often from this kind of perspective...

surrounding area of PLATOON seoul

you see, I´m still always in seoul.the street where is the container-building
of PLATOON, is small and vital. many
little shops -bakery,grocery,clothes a.s.o.-, restaurants, there is day- and nightlife.
only 20 meters, around the corner, is the
gigantic avenue with 8 lanes. on foot you
can`t cross the road without traffic light.
.....and when I came back deep in the night, my hands
and eyes are little shaky from cigarettes and beer, then I could look over the city with all their lights. and I thouhgt to me: heaven knows, the boys have had a good choice for their new location in asia.
after sleeping, I have had such a great view from
my room in human starville on 26th floor. and then I could go on foot, because it´s not so far, to the PLATOON-area.

anna just finished work on her latest showreel. we´re happy to present it here and looking forward to a hot soni riot show in seoul.raw to the bone, mindblowing future beats drifting across an utterly freaking sick clip-collage, delivering a taste of Berlin-based electronic liveact soni riot, and her special incendiary skills to bomb the dancefloor, forcing the crowd to beg for more pitch-shifting shock-for-the-system patterns.
- Hardly decipherable, hugely recommended.

last week my mate mata asked me over for a „feierabend bier“ to the pub „alt berlin“ which is just down the road. so after work i strolled down to the „alt berlin“ in anticipation of a fresh tapped beer, when i suddenly saw this public wastebin with a peculiar poster on it. at first i thought it was meant to be but then i took a second glance and saw that two posters advertising two completely different things, had used the same motif. they had been glued on top of each other and by chance someone had torn of a part of the upper poster.
