MiLo Truck meets PLATOON
Marcello • July 20. 2007 • PLATOON.operations
so today, whilst everyone was working busy as a bee in our hot containers, we hear someone screaming outside: PLATOON !!!
we all run simultaneously at the window and all i could see was a huge red container parked right up in front of us.
it was our beloved MiLo Truck with part of the Crew coming to greet us for a last salute before the Truck is given back to whom it belonged to in the first place.
yes, the Mindestlohn Tour is having a break...but not a very long one though, we are setting off again for a seaside walkabout in august.
for all those of you who didnt have a chance yet to know more about what the MiLo Tour actually is,
i leave some hints over here:
1 2 3 4 6

'nonspheres iv' by luis berríos-negrón
Angela • July 11. 2007 • URBAN COMMUNICATION
luis berríos-nergrón is an architect and artist from puerto rico. luis received a bachelor of 'fine arts degree' from parsons school of design and the 'master of architecture degree' at MIT. he already collaborated with popular artists - just to name a few: larry clark, silvia kolbowski, jean gardner. in 2005 he obtained the harold and marlene schnitzer prize for visual art and he was also awarded for the michael-kalil-award. currently he lives in berlin, where he develops projects in digital prototyping and fabrication with targa, graft, michel de broin and program. his work produces affirmative intersections between technology, geopolitics and art. opening on july 19, 19:00
exhibition: july 19 - august 18
(thuesday - friday 14:00-19:00 / saturday 11:00-19:00)
program - initiative for art & architectural collaborations, invalidenstr. 115, berlin-mitte
NONSPHERES IV is the latest work of luis berríos-negrón's investigation into the contemporary tension between nature and technology. this project will take the shape of a digitally generated lattice. the simulation of a carbon tetrahedral lattice will fill the whole gallery - suggesting a continuous remote set of relationships, intended to incite what freud calls 'oceanic feelings' (or infantile sensation of oundlessness between the ego and the outside world) and it's further supported by works on two geopolitically charged locations teufelsberg (berlin) and bibi mahro (kabul).
we've already reported about luis berríos-negrón.

GRAFIK28 // exhibition
Angela • July 6. 2007 • URBAN COMMUNICATION
today i visited the GRAFIK28 exhibition. GRAFIK28 consits of 28 graduates of the graphic-design classes of lette-verein. at this finishing-exhibition you can gaze a wide rage of art & design: corporate design, illustration, graphic design, poster design and photography.
although all those young designers have the same academic background, everyone of them shows an individual and different style - in diverse constructions.
i was impressed by the projects which are done by screenprint, but also works of typography, multimedia and illustration are well worth seeing.
exhibition: july 6 - july 28
monday - thuesday, 12:00 - 20:00
galerie neurotitan, rosenthalerstr. 39, berlin - mitte
aftershow-party: july 6
