neuer PLATOONIE macht einen Hofknicks

My name is Sophie and I've recently decided to join in the madness that is PLATOON Berlin. After having spent the last 3 years in Melbourne in the kingdom of OZ, studying professional communication at RMIT, which differs from the amateur kind by definition only (PR, journalism, media studies and Asian culture and media), I've decided that it was time to come back to the fatherland.
I wrote my bachelor thesis on political activism online and have been focusing on online interaction anywhere from interactive videos to alternate reality games, as my main field of interest. (translates into: how to get people to care and participate)
As the course came to an end and reality knocked at my door, I was jubilant for having been given the opportunity to start with PLATOON. So, here I am now, working at Berlin headquarters as a project developer (I believe that's what the FORCES network calls it).
So long!

REVIEW:NIGHT FLEAMARKET VOL.7
dongmi lee • March 8. 2010 • KUNSTHALLE
last saturday, our 7th night fleamarket took place at PLATOON KUNSTHALLE. from 7:30 pm people were standing in long line outside already. as soon as we opened the door, people surged into the building! it was a quite hard to walk around among the sellers and the crowd, but people didn't stop to shop and finally discovered stuff they were into.
this time it was nice to find some more handmade stuff like prints, t-shirts, hair band etc. and even travel photos by a photographer!
these two girls in pink uniform were a true eye catcher.
we appreciate handmade goods like these and hope there will be more at our next fleamarket.
spring is back, so we started our tasty bbq again!
this time live performance was contributed by "atom returns" aka tae yeon the editor with bling.
