3RD FLOOR @ KUNSTHALLE SEOUL

today the first half of the 3rd floor was installed! in total 5 containers were added to the building.
















first the 2 "corridor" containers were stacked on top of the "showcase". they will "hold" our office containers.


















then a new office container was placed above the "artist studios" and attached to the "corridor".

it was a bit of precision work in the cold to make everything fit and in level.


















but this is the actual feeling of the covered "bar area". the ceiling is 6 meter high: quite impressive!
















so the first half of the building is almost finished. next week the last 9 containers will arrive and form our big exhibition hall as the other part of the "KUNSTHALLE". this will fill up the empty gap in the foreground. and also the roof top bat will be placed! i can tell you: a stunning view!!

2ND FLOOR @ KUNSTHALLE SEOUL

last weekend the second floor of our container building was fixed on the site! a lot of fun to see so many green PLATOON.containers arrive. and also the look&feel of the building now gets more and more visible. but wait one more week: then the 3rd floor will cover the whole building.












this is the actual view from the street side. the small 'exhibition cubes' in the 1st floor are still covered by the contruction fence. above them you see the 'artist in residence' studios.

now here we go again. PLATOON seoul is disjointed for a good reason as you all know.
we are here today sitting on the ground, warming up to build the KUNSTHALLE.seoul. muhahahaha...

guess................what?!?!?!?! o~kay~~~....^^*
do you know what cadastral survey is? yeah~~~that is what i'm talking about we are starting construction from now on!!! it doesn't look too exciting but it was a big thing for us because we waited so long~~TT*TT.
this is the first step right after the work for building permit papers has been done and now we are ready to get into the action Muhahahahaah~~

the"back to berlin" launching party at platoon.

last thursday we had a small book launching party at the PLATOON/KUNSTHALLE.seoul site.






























dong mi was in berlin last winter to research for her berlin book - PLATOON helped her out as much as possible: PLATOON supported dong-mi and photographer jeong-tae in finding a place to stay and platoonie judith guided her around all over berlin to gather information for writing the book which, by the way, became a really nice colorful and diverse personal travelogue about berlin!

















































also bling and dazed&confused CEO (^^) sehoon is a proud sponsor and publisher of "다시 베를린 [back to/again berlin]"/

she decorated the site with light balls hanging on wire with all kinds of pictures from berlin, very nice and looks more berlinish~~^^*













the book was on sale and most books she brought that night were gone.
every single one of 'em liked the book. so do l hehehe^^* you can tell ...

















our PLATOONIE udo lee started the party with berlin style minimal house beats and blew the summer heat into the air and dj bada from cologne took over ^^* - together they rocked the party ....!!!
























the party was successful as usual,over 300people.... ^^ so long buddies, till next time...danke!
