I know, its not the newest film, he was edited 2008. but he was really great. never before I saw such heavy real story in an animated film. these form was so grandiose to bring you in, to pain and horror of war and soldiers doings. I think, it is more intensive -closely to the emotional story- than a movie with human actors. interesting too, that this is an israeli reflection. perhaps the first that we know in this vein. it´s very up do date, because the whole world discussed the hard line of israel and here we can find out, whats happened with young soldiers after war in israel and shurely worldwide.
this film of ari forman is a must.

From the early early morning
To the early early night
I´m sleeping and I´m happy
But I still have to fight
We have to boot the system
To get the human rights
We have to boot the system
To see other lights
There is much more to loose
Than the only truth
If you really want to heal
You need nerves of steel
We have to boot the system
To get the human rights
We have to boot the system
To see other lights
Our own conscience could make a sense
Our own conscience need to have friends
The earth could be saved
By any loose of faith
We have to boot the system
To get the human rights
We have to boot the system
to see other lights
we have to leave the ego
´cause there is no nogo
Our own conscience could make a sense
Our own conscience need to have friends
Still seeking for peace
Ill bleeding the trees
Still seeking for peace
Without any keys
We have to boot the system
To get the human rights
We have to boot the system
to see other lights
what is this strange peacecore
what does it means no more
what is this strange peacecore
who wants to have no more
From the early early morning
To the early early night
I´m sleeping and I´m happy
But I still have to fight
Proposal for soldiers in (UN) peacekeepingmissions abroad
- the soldiers council –

and Ban-Ki Moon as well
There could be a fund builded by private money of soldiers guerdon into a common council of soldiers in service and retired ones. The idea behind is that this fund is used to guide and help soldiers in the countries during the mission especially in afghanistan and iraq.
The “leasure time” will be used to share life with each other and inform the new security employees and as well as it is used to exchange cultures and languages. On the other hand the money should be used for the personal account of the native soldiers and the native police.
This defends, by the low wages of the personal, on the ground the personal integrity and reliability. It anticipates the new system against corruption and instability. I think it would be enough to give 10% - 25% of the wages.
One Soldiers could feed up to 60 human beings in the area. It belongs to all staff that is into the areas. At least it is a kind of natural empowerment in postcrisis areas that teaches each person the normalcy in living in a new state with old roots.
There won`t be another solution to fight war than to live peace. Charity and solidarity is an everyday fight for realistic and ethic solutions. This just can happen in concernment in a daily life.
It belongs to the new employees, the selfdetermination and all people who are involved.
The soldiers council could be installed everywhere like unions. Every established unit will be able to handle their own funds for peaceprojects, reconstruction, schools, kindergardens....
At least it will be possible to raise money abroad. The established units, although the new/ old native units, are able to take care about their own belongings.
Yours sincerley,
Rüdiger (von Wegen) Schröder
