optik!!! today~ our containers wear the PLATOON uniform muhahahaha~~ now they are truly seoul korea platoonies.
still have lots of work to do but every step is always giving me a chill...

today we have a door !!! we can get out~~ hehehe...
they are fast, day by day yeah?! which is good.
we will provide aluminum, windows, A.C and painting from now one by one and time by time, but still fast~~. going to the site every morning is very exciting yohoo!!!

life is unpredictable and you never know wha's happening next... but today for us it happened - the waiting is over! the first three containers arrived in seoul and got unloaded. and this is how it goes...

... prepare the foundation for the future location of the first three containers.










... give the truck driver a warm welcome.

















... find the right position for unloading the steel cube.

















... get ready for action.














... breath in deeply and lift it.

















... show respect to the crane that lifted it and... keep on making sure that the foundation will be earthquake proof!

almost everybody who passed by was curious about what's going on with the three containers, and they are not even built up. the containers are still in a pretty raw shape so let's see how reactions will be after they got the full treatment... anyway, very good to see that the containers are ready for it and also for us it's time for some action~!

PLATOON.ASIA UNDER CONSTRUCTION

this is the first step: the foundation or footing of our new PLATOON.tower here in seoul is now ready to hold the first 3 containers. they will arrive on the end of this week from shanghai. so stay tuned! we will report..

finally it happened – we found our temporary seoul office in which we will stay until the first containers arrive! it's a beautiful and spatious loft in one of seoul's highest skyscrapers (see pics) – no, honestly, we are very happy to have a roof over our heads after being urban nomads, roaming seoul's cafes and subway stations day by day.

picture one: well, it's a small skyscraper -.-;; and we have access to the rooftop on the right!

first thing we did was getting all this exciting office stuff like notebooks, ballpens, staplers etc. wonderful! now we're ready to do what we came for – rock the city with nu styles! ^^

but who are the people in the pics anyway? it's yeunsu and udo, the new PLATOON seoul members!

yeunsu
being in the business for years and years, yeunsu is one of seoul's most established dj/party promoters. she has managed the notorious M2 club in the past and recently brought over dubfire with pearldiver. besides from that she just loves music and meeting people~ now she is with PLATOON to pimp up the bar and prepare upcoming events!

udo's life before PLATOON included kanak attak, cultural theory, dancing to vodka red bulls/gin tonics and music of course. he came to seoul in january 2007, spending his time with translating comics for panini and djing. now he's ready to kickstart PLATOON in seoul with the rest of the crew...!
