it´s all about foreplay. berliner kunstwerke presents VORSPANNKINO-54 titles of an exhibition duly for the berlinale.

the extraordinary challenge of bonding together font picture and sound, and at the same time establishing the subject, without telling everything in advance, lead to the development of a new (character) defining genre:
the cinema of titles

when during the mid 50ies film companies committed to mention all participating artists in the opening credits, it was mainly saul bass, wayne fitzgerald and maurice binder, who recognized this legal requirement to be a form of expanded space.

the exhibition VORSPANNKINO gives insight into a contemporary visualization of the phenomenon.

Take your hands off Mellowpark – a partial success

After a long uphill struggle and lots of bureaucratic see-saw Mellowpark was now ensured continuance of its operation for the season 2009 - after the operator received the notice to leave the compound at Friedrichshagener Straße in Berlin Köpenick. It seems that the dedication of many supporters has lead to success, at least to some extend. The next step will be the relocation to a compound at Wuhlheide. The first important decisions for the moving will be made on February 27th 2009. If things run smoothly, the BMX and skate park will have to pack its boxes for December 1st 2009.

i guess we all know that feeling...

I know, its not the newest film, he was edited 2008. but he was really great. never before I saw such heavy real story in an animated film. these form was so grandiose to bring you in, to pain and horror of war and soldiers doings. I think, it is more intensive -closely to the emotional story- than a movie with human actors.











interesting too, that this is an israeli reflection. perhaps the first that we know in this vein. it´s very up do date, because the whole world discussed the hard line of israel and here we can find out, whats happened with young soldiers after war in israel and shurely worldwide.







































this film of ari forman is a must.
