„Inspite of all the prophecies of doom": we have naturally finished our building site.;-)

„a big thanks goes again to the numerous helpers who worked so hard during these last few weeks"-

without you we definately wouldn´t have make it.

So now we finally have a good reason to make some real noise again, on saturday the 10th of june 2006 to be exact.

We will always open two hours before the first game for every game during the World Cup.

that means on saturday from 13 o´clock you should be at platoon.

Daniel will throw a grill everyday from 5 o´clock, or probably even earlier, lets see how things develope. Without doubt there will be something for every taste - even vegetarians will find themeselves at ease this time.


Now lets get to the rules for this year: we are a recognised non-profit association and we want it to stay that way, that's why it is imperative for everyone to be a member!!!!!!

With that you can chill the whole day at the pool, sip drinks and from the air mattress and watch our new ledwall screen...

all the staff at platoon, are looking forward to seeing you. We have once again created a little dream-like setting for ourselves...and are extremely proud of ourselves. our site looks so cool that we would almost say: it is the coolest location in the whole of mitte right now.



wir haben fertig

allen unkenrufen zum trotz: wir sind natürlich fertig geworden mit unserer kleinen bausstelle.;-)
danke noch mal an die zahlreichen helfer in den letzten wochen- ohne euch hätten wir es garantiert nicht geschafft.

na und da haben wir doch endlich mal wieder einen grund es so richtig krachen zu lassen. und zwar ab samstag, den 10.06.2006.

während der wm öffnen wir an allen spieltagen immer 2 stunden vor der ersten partie.

das heisst am samstag ab 13 uhr bei uns auf dem platoon-gelände.

daniel wird dann immer so ab 17 uhr den grill anschmeissen. eventuell auch schon früher. schauen wir mal wie sich das alles so entwickelt.....auf jeden fall ist für jeden geschmack gesorgt.- selbst vegetarier werden sich in dieser zeit bei uns wohlfühlen.


jetzt zu den diesjährigen regeln: wir sind ein verein mit gemeinnütziger anerkennung und das wollen wir auch bleiben. deshalb gilt :

mitgliedschaft ist für alle pflicht!!!!!!

den ganzen tag am pool chillen, drinks schlürfen und auf der luftmatratze ein bischen fussy auf unserer neuen led-wand zu gucken.;-)

wir hier, also das ganze platoon, freuen uns auf jeden fall über euren besuch bei uns. wir haben uns mal wieder einen kleinen traum gebaut und sind alle ganz mächtig stolz auf uns. es sieht einfach so geil aus bei uns das wir fast gewillt sind zu sagen: das ist die fetteste location die mitte bis jetzt gesehen hat.

bundesliga will be named t-com-liga

bravo Mr meyer-vorfelder!!!

in an article that appeared today in the berliner zeitung we found out that the bundesliga (German Soccer League) will be named t-com-liga in the future. The change of the name would benefit the dfb to the tune of a two-figure million amount.


we will see if the individual associations will keep showing their sponsor on the breast and keep enjoying their money flow.


but by all means the members of the t-com liga will appear with a logo on the shirt.


according to the chairman of the german journalist union: the bundesliga keeps slipping towards a continuous advertisment program.


all of that just before the World Cup. what does it mean for german football? maybe soon you could go to the stock exchange and trade with the players as commodities! It's been due for a long time now.

in einem heutigen bericht der berliner zeitung erfahren wir, dass die bundesliga in zukunft t-com-liga heissen wird. die namensrechtsänderung dürfte in einem zweistelligen millionenbetrag dem dfb zugute kommen.


ob die einzelnen vereine dadurch ihre sponsoren weiterhin auf der brust zeigen und in den genuss der gelder kommen, wird man sehen. auf jeden fall wird die t-com-liga natürlich mit einem logo auf dem hemd
erscheinen.


wie es von dem vorsitzenden des deutschen journalisten verbandes heisst:drohen die bundesligasübertragungen zur dauerwerbesendung zu verkommen.


das ganz kurz vor der wm zum deutschen fussball. vielleicht gehen sie ja an die börse. das ist doch längst fällig. die spieler als börsenware.

it fires our imagination with dreams of getting to the very top, but, alas, it still isnt clear what it will come of it- if anything at all.

however we dont have any time for it. We are still at hammering, sawing and sweating away. But it will be fantastic.

wir jedoch haben noch keine zeit dafür. noch immer wird gehämmert, gesägt und schwer malocht. aber es wird fantastisch werden.

und soviel ist aber schon mal verraten: am samstag, 10.juni, wird die saison am pool eröffnet.

das ist commander rado. im schweisse seines körpers sorgt er dafür dass alles fertig wird...

....und das seine coole gang. was die vollbringen! einfach ne tolle crew.

FREITAG GOES CONTAINER

the lads and gals from „Freitag-taschen" (friday-bags) have recycled something once again...this time it's not old Lorries-plans but old cargo-containers and of course it was our idea;-)








they have build themselves a shop-tower made of 20 containers. respect: especially as they contacted us directly.









so: whoever's in Zurich should check them out.






















die jungs und mädels von freitag-taschen haben mal wieder was recycelt.. diesmal nicht alte LKW-planen sondern alte cargo-container und natürlich unsere idee ;-)

sie haben sich in zürich einen shop-tower aus gebrauchten 20" containern gebaut. respect: vor allem dafür, dass sie sich auch bei uns direkt gemeldet haben..

also: wer in zürich ist: anschauen.

ShareYourEmotions 2006 !

from just about two weeks ago berhard schade came around to visit us and introduced us to his football project in Uganda.

ShareYourEmotions.org is an international photo-help-project within the frame of the World Cup.
Together they will build a football pitch for aids-orphans in kiyunga, uganda .

under www.ShareYourEmotions.org it will be possible for football fans worldwide to upload their World Cup pictures: true emotions, big feelings of the WM. Taken from sideline positions that you wouldn´t see otherwise.

Every uploaded wm-picture will be linked to a spot of lawn on the virtual pitch. No matter if it is an 11 meter spot, at the side or in the middlefield. For 5 euro one can ensure their own personal square meter of the pitch.

Besides the online gallery there will also be an exhibition taking place here in berlin with all uploaded pictures- 24/7, all these emotions will become part of a very close experience materialised between the kulturforum, national gallery and potsdamer platz. After the exhibition A jury will put together the best pictures for an illustrated book.

Somehow it was clear for us from the beginning that we should support this project.

So you great people out there; put in your picture, take part, join in and help a really good cause, if you could even send this message on to others on your email contacts lists, it would be really appreciated.



vor knapp 2 wochen kam berhard schade bei uns vorbei und erzählte uns von seinem fussballprojekt in uganda.

ShareYourEmotions.org ist ein internationales fotohilfsprojekt im rahmen der fußball WM.
gemeinsam wird ein fußballcamp für AIDS-waisen in kiyunga, uganda errichtet.

unter www.ShareYourEmotions.org können fans weltweit ihre WM-fotos einstellen: wahre emotionen, große gefühle der WM. Von randschauplätzen, wie sie so sonst nicht zu sehen sind.

jedes eingestellte WM-foto wird in einem ständig wachsenden virtuellen fußballcamp mit einem
fleck rasen verlinkt. Ob 11-meterpunkt, seitenaus oder lieber im mittelfeld. Für € 5 sichert man
sich seinen persönlichen m² rasen.

neben der online galerie zeigt eine containerausstellung in berlin alle eingereichten fotos – 24

irgend wie war für uns sofort klar das wir das unterstützen.
