today: jette. the queen of drinks

in our bars you will get of course beers and similar standards. And you will rarely cue coz´ we have three of them. when the games have come to an end and the day sounds off, one shouldt forget to take a drink and chill out in our jungle bar before the very end.









Jette, the lady that pours out delicious drinks and coordinates at the same time the whole organisation of the bars. her mohitos are the most tasting in town. –and many of you probably know her as the sociable mampe host pouring shots rounds after work is done.

the introduction of more members of our „barcrew“ will follow....there are in fact a couple more people supporting jette, and they all are very very nice.

natürlich gibt es in unseren bars auch bier und ähnlich ordinäres. es sind im übrigen derer drei.
wenn jedoch die spiele ein ende gefunden haben und der tag ausklingt, dann sollte man zum chillout doch dran denken einen drink zum abschluss zu nehmen.

jette. die lady die fantastische drinks ausschenkt und zudem die ganze organisation und koordination der barabläufe unter sich hat.
ihr mochitos sind die köstlichsten der stadt. -und viele von euch kennen sie wahrscheinlich ausserdem als gesellige mampestemmerin nach getaner arbeit in der runde.

fortsetzung "bar" folgt..... es sind nämlich noch ein paar leutchen die jette unterstützen. und die alle sehr sehr nett sind.

today: mare. the doorwoman

this hangs on our door at the moment. many have heated themselves on the premises of our association, too many. but we´ll be opening surely again for new members soon.











so this is the object of our desire, without this thing nobody comes in.
















and she guards on this, but nobody passes thru her anyway. Mare, calm friendly and smiling softly. for sure.. thats how she does it. no hustle and then again some still has to leave...

das steht momentan an unserer tür. viele haben sich für unseren verein erwärmt. zuviele. aber es wird mit sicherheit auch wieder für neue mitglieder geöffnet werden.

und das ist das objekt der begierde. ohne dieses teil kommt keiner rein.

und darüber wacht sie. aber an ihr kommt sowieso keiner vorbei: mare.
ruhig freundlich lächelnd sanft. bestimmt.
so macht sie das. kein zoff, kein ärger und doch muss so mancher wieder gehn.

today: daniel d. chef & company

wow! this suspect World Cup legs belong to him. they dribbled for a long time on the pitch in cologne and shortly before the international breakthrough he decided himself not to take part in it.








Daniel d. became a cook instead. an excellent cook, many would reckognise him from his times in schwarzen raben- and certainly from platoon. then he accompanied us last year for official and unofficial binge eating sessions. always the finest, and even for the World Cup he magically creates the most extraordinary diner-snack bar that i am aware of.








by the way, incidentally, he is a lukas podolski´s fan, something that ravishes him and makes him carry a scarf with podolski´s name and when it gets too hot- like these days- he decoratively hangs it up.













however with the huge afflux of people on the Platoon area, Daniel needs help, and he finds it with Gabriel(li) and Robert(re), who stand professionally at his side.

they are those among others, making it incredibly comfy on our site.

heute: daniel d. chef & company

wow.diese wm-verdächtigen beine gehören ihm. sie dribbelten lange zeit auf dem fussballfeld in köln und kurz vor dem internationalen durchbruch entschloss er sich jäh, nicht daran teilzunehmen.

daniel d. wurde stattdessen koch. ein wunderbarer koch. viele werden ihn aus seiner zeit im schwarzen raben kennen -und natürlich vom platoon. denn er begleitet uns seit letztem jahr in offiziellen und inoffiziellen fressgelagen. immer vom feinsten. und selbst zur wm zaubert er den ungewöhlichsten imbiss den ich kenne.
im übrigen ist er lukas podolski fan, was ihn sogar zum schaltragen hinreisst und wenns zu warm ist -wie die tage- hängt er ihn dekorativ auf.

bei dem andrang von leuten auf der platoon-area, braucht daniel jedoch hilfe. und die findet er bei gabriel (li) und robert (re), die ihm professionell zur seite stehn.

sie sind es unter anderen, die es so unwiderbringlich schön und angenehm auf unserem gelände machen.

Bebelplatz

i was already aware about the reason why i wanted to escape berlin during the world cup. when one comes out of our platoon-area it gets quite appaling for what is happening out there.








so when i pass by bebelplatz i cant trust my eyes: a colourful and funny circle of hundreds of the most distasteful buddy-bears i´ve ever seen were standing around the „book incineration memorial“, the one consumed exactly on this spot by the fascist national-socialists during the third reich.









excuse me but somehow I don´t get it- I mean this oh so happy, joyfully meant „friend´s invitation“.




do we really take people for being so much up the pole, that they can only feel at ease in disneyland?
and what about the „fabrikplastiken“ that stand for germany, land of the ideas....to celebrate modern printing at bebelplatz, has something cinical about it.




then I rather prefer staying here in the weinmeisterstrasse to cool down;-)













der bebelplatz

ich wusste schon warum ich während der wm aus berlin abhauen wollte.
kommt man aus unserer wunderbaren platoon-area heraus, ist es ziemlich schrecklich was da passiert.

komm also da am bebelplatz vorbei und traue meinen augen nicht: ein bunter lustiger kreis von hunderten schrecklichsten buddy-bären um die gedenkstätte der bücherverbrennung herum, die von den faschistischen nationalsozialisten im dritten reich genau an diesem ort
vollzogen wurde.

ich fass das irgendwie nicht -diese so gut, so fröhlich und lustig gemeinte einladung der freunde.
halten wir alle menschen für so bescheuert, dass sie sich nur im disneyland wohl fühlen?

und dann noch die fabrikplastiken die für deutschland land der ideen stehen.... hier am bebelplatz den modernen buchdruck zu feiern, hat für mich was zynisches.

da bleib ich doch lieber in der weinmeisterstrasse und kühl mich ab ;-)

we can only thank all those people organising sun-dances during the past weeks: what a great weather!

of course the active „ life-association “ at PLATOON.ev is also amazing! Today more new members will still be registered.

tomorrow for the germany game (16:00) new registrations will be stopped again . which means admissions will be excluvely reserved to our registered members!

wir können uns nur bei allen bedanken, die in den letzten wochen sonnentänze veranstaltet haben: was für ein wetter!

super ist natürlich auch das rege 'vereinsleben' bei PLATOON.ev! heute werden noch neue mitglieder aufgenommen.

morgen zum deutschlandspiel (16:00) ist erst mal wieder aufnahmestop: also einlass nur für bereits registrierte mitglieder!

when i think that i actually wanted to escape berlin during the World Cup and how now everything seems to be so very different than i had previously thought.








there is such a good mood over here...people are on the ball even though some things seem to be a bit harder because of the heat.









but unfortunately the situation with the membership registrations for the coming days will stay. we are not a fan-mile outpost, but an association wanting to transmit culture. also life culture. thats why it wouldnt make any sense and wouldn´t be any fun if we´d become packed like sardine in a tin. we want to have fun with eachother.









the germany-poland game was amazing.


...but poland deserved to score a goal. they were very good indeed.






wenn ich so denke, dass ich in dieser
zeit eigentlich aus berlin flüchten wollte.....
und sich nun alles ganz anders darstellt.....






es ist eine solch tolle stimmung bei uns. die leute sind gut drauf. auch wenn durch die hitze manches n bissschen schwerer fällt.





aber leider, leider bleibt es die nächsten tage beim mitgliederaufnahmestop. wir sind keine fanmeile, sondern n verein der kultur vermitteln will. auch lebenskultur. und da macht es keinen sinn und auch keine lust, wenn es eine heringsdose wird. wir wollen miteinander spass haben.

.....aber polen hätt ich auch n tor gegönnt. die warn nämlich gut.

you lovely people, very quickly: nobody of us had taken into account that we would have had such an afflux of people on our premises. yesterday we already touched the limits of doable and have therefore decided, not to allow anyone without a dogtag on our premises.

we have a registration hault until further notice and can only advise you to be on time in order to be able to reserve a place near the pool.




ihr lieben, ganz auf die schnelle: keiner von uns hätte damit rechnen können, dass wir so einen starken andrang auf unserem gelände haben. gestern sind wir bereits an die grenze des machbaren gekommen und haben daher beschlossen, niemanden mehr ohne dogtag auf das gelände zu lassen.

wir haben aufnahmestop bis auf weiteres und können euch allen nur raten, rechtzeitig zu kommen und sich einen platz am pool zu resevieren.

totally relaxed week-end

we are really impressed about last week-end. perfect weather to inaugurate our pool and only nice people on the courtyard. it should go on like this......

well. that proves that we´ve been consequential with our members courtyard-policy, we can now be sure that this or the other uninvited guest will be kept away...;-)






total entspanntes wochenende

wir sind schlicht weg begeistert vom wochenende. perfektes wetter um unseren pool einzuweihen und nur nette leute auf dem hof. so kann es weiter gehen.....

da zeichnet es sich doch wieder aus dass wir konsequent mit unserer "vereinsgelände-politik" verfahren. nur zugang für vereinsmitglieder hält dann doch den ein oder anderen ungebetenen gast ab...;-)
